I’m self-taught and it’s always just been for fun, but the flick of a paintbrush is cathartic to me. It’s an enjoyable way to experiment with bright colors and textures and to put my own lens on the things that I love and the associated feelings that I hope to capture forever. A few years ago, I started giving simple gifts inspired by moments that reminded me of the recipient or something that I knew was special to them: my best friends and I "cheers-ing." My sister and her husband's favorite sushi date night. Tropical flowers from a destination wedding. A nod to a proposal. The meaning of a name.

When giving gifts turned into getting requests, I was humbled to find that I was onto something. That others appreciate the ability to capture the connections between their favorite people, places and experiences, too. And I've joyfully discovered that I love even more to put my lens on someone else’s memory - especially in a way that can be easily displayed in their home or the home of their friends and family.

This is why I create customized, hand-painted wooden signs inspired by your favorites. A chocolate covered strawberry to anyone else is just that, but to you it’s the night you got engaged. A pine tree is just a pine tree unless it represents your family’s surname. You get the point, and enough about me.
